1. The LURABO.COM Business Policy
LURABO offers products for sale on LURABO.COM and its e-commerce business services are available exclusively to its end users, i.e. the "Consumers".
"Consumer" shall mean any individual who is acting for purposes which are outside his or her trade, business or profession. If you are not a Consumer, please do not buy any products directly on LURABO.COM but contact us:

These Terms & Conditions of Sale together with the documents referred to herein regulate the offer, transmission and acceptance of purchase orders relating to products on LURABO.COM between the users of LURABO.COM and LURABO
The Terms & Conditions of Sale do not regulate the supply of services or the sale of products performed by third parties that are on LURABO.COM through links, banners or other hypertext links. Before sending orders and purchasing products and services from those third parties, we recommend that you verify the third party's terms and conditions, since LURABO shall under no circumstances be deemed liable for the supply of services provided by third parties or for the execution of e-commerce transactions between the users of LURABO.COM and third parties.
2. How to Execute a Contract with LURABO
English is the language used for executing contracts with LURABO that have been placed through the LURABO.COM website.
To place an order for the purchase of one or more products on LURABO.COM, you must select one or more products of your choice which will be added to your virtual "shopping cart" and then select "checkout" to go on to the step by step procedure which will finally take you to confirm the order and settle the related payment. The order will then have been sent electronically to URABO.
The order form will quote information on the main characteristics of each product you will have selected and corresponding unit price which for footwear is always referred to a pair. Please note that the price will include all eventual fees and taxes due for export from Italy and VAT due on goods circulating in the European Union but it will NOT include any sort of duties, taxes, Customs clearance fees, to which you might be liable for the import of such goods to your country if this is outside the European Union. The consumer and not LURABO remains totally responsible for the payment of such costs at his end, for the import procedures and for complying with the law of its country. LURABO will supply you all of the standard documents we understand you will need for clearing Customs such as the invoice and/or the Pro-forma invoice, CITES declaration etc and will make every reasonable and lawful effort to help you to clear Customs as easily as possible. Should you request further specific documents or declarations which entail a cost for their issue you will have to bear such cost. We invite you to please check your country regulations and your Customs requirements before you purchase.
The order form procedes by steps and will present the shipping and delivery costs, the type of payment that you may use in order to purchase each product and will ask you to confirm that you have read, understood and accepted the Terms & Conditions of Sale before you can finalise the purchase.An order shall be deemed to have been submitted when LURABO receives your order form electronically and the order information has been verified as correct.
The order form will be filed in our data base for the time required to process your order and as provided by law. If you have registered an account with LURABO.COM you may access your order by clicking on the section "Order History" of the My Account area for which you may find the link at the bottom of the page.
After your order form has been submitted, LURABO will process your order.
LURABO may not process purchases when there are not sufficient guarantees of solvency, when orders are incomplete or incorrect, or the products are no longer available. In the above cases, we shall inform you by e-mail within seven days since our receipt of order that the contract has not been executed and that LURABO has not carried out your purchase order specifying the reasons thereof. If the order form has been sent and the price has been paid for items that are no longer available, LURABO will promptly refund the amount paid for those items.
Upon submission of an order form, LURABO shall send you a purchase order receipt e-mail, containing a summary of the information related to the order form (the products' main characteristics, information on the price, terms of payment, shipping costs, a reminder of terms and conditions of sale etc).
We remind you that all LURABO items are made to order specifically for you unless stated differently on the webiste and will be available for shipment within ten working days (as per Italian festivity calendar) from confirmation of your order.
While we make every effort to respect this time, there may be events beyond our control that can cause delays. In no way we accept to compromise the quality of Lurabo products so we shall eventually contact you to inform you of any such delay and you will be free to withdraw your order. As examples: should we have a problem with the availability of one of our materials we shall not switch to just any available alternative; should the artisan in charge of making your product suffer any problem we shall not divert it to any other available worker which we do not consider to have the same level of experience and skill....etc.
3. Guarantee of conformity
On LURABO.COM, we offer products marked with the "LURABO" trademark which can lawfully identify only products designed by LURABO in Milano and manufactured by his partner artisans only in Italy in the Lombardy region.
LURABO does not sell second-hand products, flawed products or products of lower quality than the corresponding market standards.
We guarantee the conformity of the goods purchased on LURABO.COM complying with the description you find on the website.
The main characteristics of the products are shown in pictures and stated in a text description on LURABO.COM on each product page. Please note that while all the technical and quality characteristics can be guaranteed to be respected we wish to warn you that the products you receive might differ slightly in colour when compared to the image you saw on the website. While LURABO.COM makes every reasonable effort to display the items as accurately as possible, there is a number of factors beyond our control starting from the colour reproduction capabilities of the display and the hardware you are using, the brightness, contrast, colour settings etc. which can affect what you actually see on your screen.
Should you hold of utmost importance checking the texture and colour of a material, we are willing to send you by mail a small cutting for you to evaluate before you purchase.
4. Product price indication on the website and in invoice
Prices are subject to change and will be as quoted on our site from time to time, except in cases of obvious error. Check the final price of sale before confirming the relevant order form.
LURABO prices as quoted on the product page are what you pay for the good, while it will already include VAT for goods circulating in European Union countries it does NOT include further duties, taxes, customs clearing fees etc which may be required for importing goods into countries which are not members of the European Union. It is the customer's responsability to comply with the law and the regulations of the country to which the goods will be shipped to, only the customer will be responsible for paying any eventual duty, tax and fee for clearing Customs. We therefore invite you to gather the information before you purchase as LURABO is in no way responsible for such expenses. . Shipping and delivery costs will be stated during the checkout procedure. We try to offer the best value and the easiest buying experience so you will see that for many countries the shipping and delivery costs have been included and we ask a supplement only for remote countries.
When we issue an invoice:
- for countries which are members of the European Union we shall break down the total amount you have paid to show the percentage of VAT paid
- for countries outside the European Union where the goods could be liable to import duties or further taxes we shall break down the total amount you have paid into the separate cost of goods, the cost of shipment, other eventual services. This will correctly provide a lower value for the product for duty and tax calculations.
Orders made with a shipping address in a country to which LURABO cannot ship will be automatically cancelled and should a payment have been made it will be immediately refunded. You will be informed by email.
Payment of the product prices and relevant costs for shipping and delivery must be made by using one of the methods made available during the checkout process.
At present all payments are handled by PayPal Europe S.à r.l. et Cie, S.C.A Luxembourg (herewith shortened to PayPal) , company held by PayPal Inc. USA, through its gateway over a SSL connection.
The type of credit and debit cards accepted varies depending on the country of residence of the customer to offer a wider range of possibilities but it will always include VISA and Mastercard.
All available options will be clearly listed on the PayPal gateway page that opens when you start the payment procedure.
Beside using credit or debit cards, you can also use your PayPal account balance.
In no way does data regarding credit cards or debit cards transit on or become available to LURABO.COM, this data transits and is handled by only and exclusively PayPal which can guarantee the highest standards of reliability and security.

Our trusted partner for shipping and deliveries is DHL, the e-commerce and courrier unit of Deutsche Post AG considered to be the most efficient, reliable and fastest courrier service.

8. Consumer Right of Withdrawal and the Cooling-Off Period
LURABO products are made specifically to order for you however we value and trust our customers above everything so we are happy to allow you the full right of withdrawal without having to give any reason and without any penalty on the price and the shipping you paid during a period of 14 days. This 14 day interval is called "cooling off period" and starts from the day on which you acquire, or a third party other than the carrier and indicated by you acquires physical possession of the goods.
The right of withdrawal or return remains excluded only for heavily customized products (e.g. a style specifically designed for a single customer, a product made in a material not part of the available offer but selected on customer request, a pair of footwear outside our standard size range 34-41 for women's and 40-46 for men's).
To avoid any misunderstanding, whenever a product will not be eligible for withdrawal from a contract or for a return we will remind you in the confirmation of the order and we will also allow you 24 hours from its issue to cancel the order.

If you have received the goods you must send them back without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which you communicate your withdrawal from the contract to us, to the same Lurabo address as quoted above. We may withold the reimbursement until we have received the goods back or you have supplied clear evidence of having sent back to us the goods with a trusted courrier or post service, whichever is the earliest.
I you withdraw from this contract LURABO shall reimburse to you the price you paid for the goods including the standard postage that was included (with the exception of the eventual supplementary costs resulting form your request for a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of delivery offered by us). The refund will be made within fourteen (14) days of receipt of the withdrawal/return form provided that the goods are returned within that period.
Trusting that our products will always encounter your appreciation, in order to keep prices as low as possible, we have chosen not to add to our prices the eventuality of a return so in case of withdrawal the cost * of returning the goods, including eventual duties and taxes to Italy, is a responsability of the customer. This does not apply when the products are mistaken or not fit for their intended use (faulty), see 9. further below.
When products are returned they must be in the same condition in which you received them and include the original packaging. You have a legal obligation to take reasonable care of the products whilst they are in your possession. If you fail to comply with this obligation, we may have a right of action against you for compensation.The customer is free to use any mail or courrier service but we advise to make sure that they can provide you with a proof of delivery.
* Note: it is impossible to let you know how much it would cost you to send back the goods to us as International rates depend on the country from which you are sending and vary considerably depending on the Post or Courrier service you select. Just as a rough guide, you should expect to pay between 10 and 35 euros if you are sending from a European country or between 25 and 45 euros if you are sending from a country outside Europe. Please note this is just an indication as actual rates may be higher or lower, please check locally to ensure you get the best rate.
9. Mistaken or faulty products
In case you receive:
- a product which is not what you had ordered;
(that is goods clearly not corresponding to what stated in your order confirmation)
- a product which is severely faulty and therefore not fit for its intended use;

so that we can check and eventually arrange for its return by organizing pick-up from the address of your choice. In such cases the return to us is totally our expense.
Following your contact we shall promptly sort out any eventual problem to ensure that you receive your products as per your expectations.
You must notify LURABO of an error in respect of the products delivered or of a damaged or defective product within thirty (30) days of receipt, if a product becomes faulty after the thirty (30) days please contact Customer Care () to obtain further returns information. You must return the products in the same condition in which you received them. You have a legal obligation to take reasonable care of the products whilst they are in your possession. If you fail to comply with this obligation, we may have a right of action against you for compensation.
10. Minor defects
Should you not be satisfied with the quality of the products you have received please contact us without hesitation to tell us what you have noticed and possibly document it with pictures sent by mail to:
LURABO products are crafted by hand and made in natural materials such as leather, fabric etc so both the production process and the raw materials tend to deliver small imperfections which are the best proof that they have not been made by an automated process.
Based on the most skilled artisans experience and the industry standards we shall judge whether the product is to be considered up to standard or worthy of a discount or a repair.
11. No exchange policy: what to do if you want to change to another product
As LURABO products are made to order specifically for the customer, we do not allow exchanges. If you want to change the items you have purchased you will have to withdraw from the contract by following the above procedure and place a new order for your new choice.
If the recipient of the products indicated in the order form is different from the individual who made the payment for such products, the amount paid for any returned items shall be refunded by LURABO to the individual who made the payment.
We will usually refund any money received using the same method originally used to pay for the purchase. LURABO shall not be responsible for any delay that is beyond its control including for delays caused by the method of purchase or refund, example a delay caused by Credit Card/Debit Card companies refund policies etc.

15. Events outside LURABO’s control
LURABO will not be liable or responsible for any failure to perform, or delay in performance of, any of LURABO’s obligations under a contract that is caused by any act or event beyond our reasonable control including without limitation strikes, lock-outs or other industrial action by third parties, civil commotion, riot, invasion, terrorist attack or threat of terrorist attack, war, fire, explosion, storm, flood, earthquake, subsidence, epidemic or other natural disaster, or failure of public or private telecommunications networks or impossibility of the use of railways, shipping, aircraft, motor transport or other means of public or private transport (together herewith “Event Outside LURABO’s Control”).
If an "Event Outside LURABO’s Control" takes place that affects the performance of our obligations under a contract:
• we will contact you as soon as reasonably possible to notify you
• our obligations under a contract will be suspended and the time for performance of our obligations will be extended for the duration of the "Event Outside LURABO’s Control".
Where the "Event Outside LURABO’s Control" affects our delivery of products to you, we will arrange a new delivery date with you after "Event Outside LURABO’s Control" is over.
Each of the paragraphs of these Terms & Conditions of Sale operates separately. If any court or relevant authority decides that any of them are unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining paragraphs will remain in full force and effect.
17. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions of Sale are governed by Italian law and in particular by decree DLGS 21, 21 Feb 2014 which implements the European Directive 83/2011 which provides the framework for the protection of Consumer Rights.
18. Amendments and updates
The Terms & Conditions of Sale may be amended from time to time due to new laws and regulations or other reasons. The new Terms & Conditions of Sale shall be effective as of the date of publication on LURABO.COM which you can find at the end of these Terms & Conditions of Sale.
