These slippers are part of our range inspired by the Twenties, a period of exquisite style and innovation but also a key one for the social role of women. This style not only draws from those years some of its aesthetics but pays homage to "flappers", daring women who challenged the conventional societal roles of women. Flappers would listen to jazz, take the inititiative in dating, ride bikes and drive cars, drink and smoke....Their style was pioneered by Coco Chanel and it brought a revoloutionary sporty look next to the utmost feminine style.

Made on our LOMBARD last which is our sexiest last, cleverly designed to have a distictive pointy toe while maintaining the absolute comfort you expect from slippers. The name "Lombard" plays on a double meaning: it is Lombard because it was designed and made in Milano which is in Lombardy county but it is also a tribute to a famous diva: Carole Lombard.
