• These slippers are part of our range inspired by the Twenties, a period of exquisite style and innovation but also a key one for the social role of women. This style not only draws from those years some of its aesthetics but pays homage to "flappers", daring women who challenged the conventional societal roles of women. Flappers would listen to jazz, take the inititiative in dating, ride bikes and drive cars, drink and smoke....Their style was pioneered by Coco Chanel and it brought a revoloutionary sporty look next to the utmost feminine style.
   
• This version is in quality suede which has been laminated with multicolour glittering micro pixels to achieve an effect that recalls a silk silver satin. A chain of rhinestones and greysh stones is mounted on top of a band of frayed wool wich creates an effect that recalls feathers, so popular in the Twenties. Lining and insole are in gunmetal nappa.

  The name Lombard plays on a double meaning: it is Lombard because it was designed and made in Milano which is in Lombardy county and it is Lombard as an homage to the all time glamour of the diva Carole Lombard
