DIVA !  (the latin word for a female deity) is the most sophisticated and glamorous style of the whole collection. Because of the way true slippers are made (turnshoe construction) there have never been complicated patterns and  styles using luxurious materials and accessories. We challenge these limits to bridge the gap between the world of slippers and that of shoes. The pattern of  DIVA !  is in tune with the best of Art Nouveau design and it is an intricate game of layers and fine trim details which highlight the main lines. The careful selection of leathers and materials displays surprising contrasts in colours, in textures and in glossy versus matt.

Made on our WEDGE last*  which has a 4,5 cm (=1.8") wedge heel which gives that bit of extra lift and special allure. The design of the wedge heel is nicely streamlined for a contemporary fashion look. It is important to note that even having a heel these slippers are still built following the traditional turnshoe construction so they are very different from a shoe because the leather wraps the foot and there are no rigid shanks or midsoles.
