• Men's footwear is still well rooted in traditional British patterns and brogues are the most popular type of shoes. The BURLINGTON pays homage with its name to the "Burlington Arcade" in London. This beautiful and elegant arcade is right in the heart of the area devoted to the world's most famous shops catering for men's elegance. Just think Savile Row where you find the top tailors, think Jermyn Street for the top shoe-makers and of course Bond Street for luxury goods and fashion.
   
• Made on our "Jermyn" last (a last is the foot shape around which footwear is made)  which is a contemporary take on the best of traditional slippers. The toe box allows plenty of room for your toes but the tip still achieves to look modern while the heel area gets a pleasant 2cm lift which enables to add extra padding in an innovative shock absorbing compound for dream comfort.
   
• Upper in two-tone milled calf leather*: matt black and a deep dark shade of  matt red. Lining and insole are in soft black nappa specifically tanned to be used for linings
  The red/black colour combination is a tradition in Milan because they are the official colours of AC Milan, the world famous soccer team which has won the highest number of European trophies. This was a starting point for our inspiration which aimed at bringing together the British and the Italian footwear tradition.
  * milled leather is calf leather that undergoes a process of tumbling which loosens the fibers of the skin making the leather more supple while enhancing the natural surface pattern of the leather.
   
• The timeless British brogue pattern is transformed in a refreshing yet respectful way paying attention to proportions and all details. The triditional punching (one big hole followed by a couple of two small ones) is replaced by the use of just two sizes of perforations which are well spaced apart. This transmits a less baroque look which translates into a more contemporary attitude. 
   
• Handmade in Italy by the finest artisans matching patient traditional construction and careful leather selection with the use of innovative materials to guarantee long lasting natural comfort
