• The name of this style, TIRABACI, is the Italian word for a "kiss curl". A kiss curl is a loose curl falling across the forehead or along the cheek, it was typical in the Twenties to have these curls flat. This has been the inspiration for the gold pattern of the black enamel button featured on this style.
   
• The upper and wedge are in glossy black patent genuine leather with a gold piping. The lining is in gold nappa while the insole is in soft black nappa.

• Made on our WEDGE last*  which has a 4,5 cm (=1.8") wedge heel which gives that bit of extra lift and special allure. The design of the wedge heel is nicely streamlined for a contemporary fashion look.
  It is important to note that even having a heel these slippers are still built following the traditional turnshoe construction so they are very different from a shoe because the leather wraps the foot and there are no rigid shanks or midsoles.

• The whole insole is padded with a special open cell compound which ensures that you get both comfort and a breathable environment for your feet naturally preventing the development of odours
